“The Belt and Road” International Mine Standardization Working Group
Nature of the Working Group: The Belt and Road International Mine Standardization Working Group is an unincorporated technical organization approved by the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China and the National Mine Safety Administration. Operating under the International Cooperation Mechanism on Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management under the Belt and Road Initiative, it undertakes international mine standardization work in the mining sector.
Working Principles: Adhere to the working norms of science and rationality, openness and impartiality, standardization and transparency, coordination and efficiency.
Work Content:
(1) Study industrial policies, regulations and standards in the mining sector;
(2) Build an international exchange and cooperation platform for the mining sector, promote the transformation of representative mine standards of member states into international standards or relevant standards of regional standardization organizations, and strengthen exchanges on mine standards as well as advanced mining technologies and equipment;
(3) Organize mine standard translation, standard training, demonstration site construction, standard mutual recognition and other relevant work;
(4) Select and recommend registered experts for international standardization bodies such as ISO and IEC;
(5) Focusing on mining exploitation, major disaster prevention and control, technical services, mining equipment and products, informatization & intelligent technology, emergency rescue and other fields, cultivate international talents and innovative teams engaged in mine standardization.
